Come and discover the North-East of Brittany, 1h30 from Paris and Saint-Malo, 1 hour from Mont-Saint-Michel and Rennes, in the romantic countryside of Vitré, a charming medieval and dynamic town of 20,000 souls.

Lucie and Ludo, lovers of nature and travel, welcome you to their typical farmhouse of 1850, surrounded by a 6000m² garden with a pond. Lucie has lived and taught in six countries: Ireland, England, New Zealand, Vietnam, Slovakia, and France! Ludo, a passionate wine and beer specialist, loves to share his knowledge and his love of good things. Both own a restaurant ten minutes from the house where you’ll be invited to try tasty dishes made from local ingredients, cooked in accordance with Breton traditions! The restaurant is on the edge of a beautiful 110-hectare pond along a greenway and can be accessed by bike from the house for a quick romantic escape!

Immersion in the Heart of the French Culture

The 1850 house has been completely renovated by Ludo. You will enjoy a large living room, a modern kitchen perfect for cooking workshops, and, upstairs, three comfortable bedrooms (+ a fold-out bed for a large group), a bathroom (with shower and bath), separate toilets, and a private lounge to relax after excursions!

Staying with us means experiencing a great holiday while learning the language and discovering the local culture with a motivating and caring teacher! Here, the joy of life is contagious, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

The first bedroom, bright and modern, features a large desk and plenty of storage. The second, mirroring the first, offers a magnificent view of the countryside and the pond. The last bedroom, more spacious, retains its original stone wall and offers a beautiful view of the garden and pond. Between the two, a cozy living room with a sofa, library, and TV is reserved for you. You will also enjoy your own bathroom (bath + shower) and separate toilet.

We own a restaurant by a 110-hectare pond close to the house and want you to enjoy our chef’s local cuisine. Come and try Brittany’s specialties!

We enjoy the seasons: walks in the forest or at the sea with our dog, mushroom picking, cooking, brewing beer… We like to share our home by organizing aperitifs, dinners, theater evenings, karaoke, and music festivals in the garden. Between the calm of the countryside and conviviality, here, we enjoy every moment!

ACTIVITIES

Vitré: Discover its medieval castle, the park of the Hôtel de Ville, its cobbled streets and half-timbered houses. In the evening, the locals meet at the bar on the market square to chat over a drink. Come and meet them!

A few kilometers from Vitré: Visit with us the Rochers de la Comtesse de Sévigné and its French gardens, enjoy activities such as kayaking, mountain biking, paddle boarding and archery at the Haute-Vilaine leisure center. Take part in workshops on recognizing, picking and cooking wild plants, tasting at the Etrelle cheese dairy. Ludovic offers wine and beer workshops to discover, distinguish and appreciate French products, there is also the possibility of a milking workshop, tasting donkey milk in Saint-M’Hervé as well as making small soaps excellent for fragile skin.

Around us: Fougères, a must for lovers of history and medieval architecture. Rennes and its varied cultural activities. Mont Saint-Michel, magical and majestic.
