Mathilde, your host, will help you discover this lively city and one of the first student cities in France. She will give you personalized French courses tailored to your needs.

Living in a quiet commune and close to Rennes (accessible in 15 minutes by car or bus), she will share her daily life with her family by offering you a single room with a double bed overlooking the garden and a bathroom that you will share with her son. You will be able to discover Brittany, its authenticity and its conviviality in complete serenity.

YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN RENNES

 
Immersion in a French family is, in my opinion, not only a great way to improve your French but also an ideal way to discover French culture in the most authentic and friendly way. But don’t hesitate to tell me about your specific wishes, expectations, projects or desires. It is precisely in my adaptation to your learning objectives that are the interests of personalized courses.

You will have a bright single room overlooking our garden, with a double bed, a wardrobe to settle in and a large desk. But the classes will be held in another room of the house. You will share the bathroom and toilets with our children.

We love quality, simple, homemade and organic cuisine because we love to spend time cooking. We will have meals in the main room with beautiful openings to the large terrace and garden. We are all very excited to welcome a learner into the family and we will all be happy to share with you. You will be autonomous to walk around Rennes if you wish, in addition to the tour we will do together. The city is indeed very easily accessible but you can also walk around our village on foot or by bike if you prefer.

LEARNING FRENCH

I know how important it is to have fun to progress effectively in a language and I will make sure that the courses are both serious and user-friendly.
My experience today allows me to be able to adapt to all levels and contexts of learning, so my courses will be specially designed for you, according to your needs and expectations. Based on written and oral communication, my program will be built to really advance you.

Classes will take place mainly in an office but can also be held in the garden if time permits and if you wish.

ACTIVITIES

I will be your guide to discover Rennes, a lively student city and “capital” of Brittany which is one of the most touristic regions of France. You will discover its streets and squares that form a very beautiful architectural ensemble and in particular its medieval streets with their wooden houses.

The Parliament of Brittany, the Place des lices, the Opera, the Jacobin Convent, the Mordelaise doors, the Cathedral of Saint Pierre, the Place Sainte Anne or the Parc du Thabor are all emblematic places of the city that we will visit at our own pace and on foot, in streets that are often pedestrianised.

Many of these sites are located in the old Rennes district, where there is also a weekly market.

Cafés and restaurants liven up all the districts of the centre -city but are particularly numerous Saint Anne square and high schools where students meet. So we can have a drink or a coffee to our taste in one of the beautiful squares of the city.

We will also spend an afternoon to visit Saint Malo and its ramparts, a city full of history in an exceptional maritime site, or we will discover the Mont Saint Michel, a site also quite grandiose and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
