Hello, my name is Laurence. I am a French teacher with many years of experience teaching learners from all over the world. Having grown up in the United States and lived for several years in Russia, I understand both the challenges—and the joys—of learning a foreign language.

Today, I divide my time between Paris and Provence, where I welcome francophiles eager to discover the French language and culture in an authentic way.

In Paris, I host you in an independent studio located in the 5th arrondissement — a calm and bright place overlooking a small garden. You’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay: a cozy bed, a private bathroom, and a small kitchen area.

I’ll guide you through your learning journey with personalized lessons, friendly conversations, and cultural activities inspired by Parisian life. My goal is for you to feel at home while enjoying a rich, warm, and truly immersive French experience.

LEARNING FRENCH

I have long worked as an adult educator and communications consultant. With professional experience in business, I can teach business French and specialized French courses. I also studied literature and enjoy sharing France’s rich written and spoken heritage, cultural and historical insights, and societal topics.

Interested in linguistics, I ensure that my teaching methods and course organization are always adapted to each student’s profile and needs, with adjustments possible during the learning process.

I will be your guide to discover Paris and its hidden gems. As a capital of culture and history, Paris is famous for its iconic monuments, historic neighborhoods, and unique lifestyle. Walks in the Latin Quarter, Le Marais, on the Île de la Cité, or along the Seine offer a truly authentic Parisian experience.

Enjoy your trip, to visit iconic sites such as the Eiffel Tower, Champ de Mars, Arc de Triomphe, Boulevard Haussmann, Opéra Garnier, Champs-Élysées, the Louvre Museum, and Notre-Dame Cathedral, using these moments to practice French. Public gardens like the Jardin du Luxembourg or Square René Viviani offer relaxation and local observation.
