YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN NOGENT LE ROTROU
Immersion in the Heart of French Culture
I welcome you to my home, a large old house full of charm, located in the heart of the Perche, a hilly and unspoilt region. Here you’ll find everything you need for an immersion stay: the tranquility of the countryside, a warm welcome, and an ideal setting for learning French at your own pace.
I offer five bright, comfortable rooms: three with en-suite bathrooms, two with shared bathrooms. You can come alone, as a couple, with friends or as a family. When the weather’s fine, we enjoy meals in the garden, in the shade of the trees, in a simple, friendly atmosphere.
I prepare healthy, tasty, seasonal cuisine using local, homemade products. I offer full board, with meals that are also moments of exchange in French, in a relaxed and caring atmosphere. Depending on the season, you can enjoy the swimming pool (May to September), go for walks in the surrounding hills, or relax by the fireplace.
My house is non-smoking inside, for everyone’s comfort, but you can smoke outside.

Welcome to my home, a home for family, friends and guests… A home I’ve always dreamed of opening to those who want to learn, share and immerse themselves in a simple, warm and human French way of life.
My name is Caroline. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved welcoming, receiving and passing on. I naturally wanted to combine this art of living with teaching French, to offer immersion stays that are both relaxing and enriching. Here, learning takes place around a table as much as during a walk, a shared meal or a fireside chat.
I welcome you in a large old house, typical of the Perche region, where a peaceful and friendly atmosphere reigns. The house has several comfortable, bright rooms, a garden, a swimming pool in summer and a fireplace in winter. It’s a lively, open space, ideal for meeting people, relaxing and learning in all simplicity.
LEARNING FRENCH
After twenty years as a legal counsel, I decided to retrain to pass on my passion for the French language and hospitality. I’ve always loved building connections, receiving and sharing – so it was natural for me to offer immersion stays combining French language learning, human exchanges and cultural discovery.
I have extensive experience in teaching adults, and can adapt to all levels. Thanks to my background, I can also offer courses in professional French, particularly legal French. All my courses are tailor-made to suit your objectives, in a friendly, relaxed and efficient atmosphere.
Classes take place in the morning, in the dining room, the office or the garden, depending on the weather. If you travel with a friend or family member who shares your level, we can organize classes in small groups. The most important thing for me is to help you progress, at your own pace and in a good mood.
ACTIVITIES
I’d be delighted to show you around Nogent-le-Rotrou and the surrounding area, in the heart of the Perche natural park. An immersion at nature’s rhythm, picturesque villages, local markets and castles steeped in history. Here are a few ideas for things we can do together, on foot, by car or by train.
Perhaps we’ll start with the Chateau Saint-Jean, the symbol of the town, perched on its promontory, which will plunge you into the medieval history of the Perche region. You’ll also enjoy strolling through the wooded hills, taking in the panoramic views, shady paths and peaceful atmosphere of the countryside.
The surrounding villages, often bustling with flea markets, garage sales and small markets, offer plenty of opportunity to stroll, bargain-hunt or chat with the locals.
A 45-minute train ride away, the city of Chartres awaits you, with its famous UNESCO-listed Gothic cathedral. And if you feel like it, why not organize a day trip to Paris together? The capital is only 1h30 away by train, perfect for a one-off getaway.
And, of course, everything can be adapted to your wishes and pace!
