Improve your French during an immersion stay in Brittany, a region with a strong and unique character, which has been able to draw on its traditions to become a destination appreciated throughout the world, and considered the most beautiful in France by many tourists. With its postcard settings, it invites you to travel and wonder. The Morbihan golf course, where the climate is the mildest, is rich in heritage: Vannes and its port, Carnac and its menhirs, the Quiberon peninsula, magnificent islands, Lorient and its Interceltic Festival, its beaches… As for me, my name is Céline, I am 51 years old, married and mother and stepmother of four adult children. I have been a certified teacher of literature for 30 years, including 22 years with students of foreign origin, sometimes allophones; I also taught Latin, and led a theater workshop for 15 years. I welcome you to a large house in the middle of nature, on 3.5 hectares of land. All shops are a 5-minute drive away, in the market town of Landévant.

YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN LANDÉVANT

Immersion learning is a great method that involves learning a language in the most authentic and natural way possible. It reproduces childhood learning patterns for the mother tongue. The process is natural, and consists mainly of listening, soaking up and talking. You will therefore most often progress without realizing it, and without feeling like you are making an effort. Forced to communicate throughout the day, you will have plenty of time to make mistakes, correct them and gradually gain confidence. A language immersion will also allow you to immerse yourself in the culture of the country. to meet and exchange. You will be able to study in a totally relaxed, warm atmosphere.

This is why an immersion stay, even if it is only for a few weeks, is an ideal way to learn a language. You will stay in a comfortable room furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe, two chests of drawers, an armchair, and a desk, with a private bathroom. Three additional bedrooms with two bathrooms are also available if you wish to stay as a group. Before, after or between two classes, many activities will be available to you: indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, boat or pedal boat rides on the pond, visit to the many animals (dogs, cats, ponies, alapagas, sheep and goats), billiards, table tennis and board games. My husband plays guitar and piano and I sing. We are part of a Breton music group and we will be happy to teach you the dances of the region.

I really like my job as a teacher, which I do with enthusiasm and pedagogy. I quickly establish warm relationships with others, and like to work in a good mood, although with high standards?
In love with my region and my field, and passionate about exchanges and human relationships, I wanted to leave traditional teaching to offer immersion stays that allow me to combine these different passions, especially since my region, which is very touristic, and my big house lends itself totally to this activity.

The Brittany region is a very popular tourist destination in France, due to the richness of its cultural and architectural heritage. Thus, I will be able to take you to visit the magnificent cities of Vannes, Auray, Quimper, Concarneau and its ramparts, Pont-Aven, the famous city of painters, the small town of character of Rochefort en Terre, Carnac and its famous menhirs, the Quiberon peninsula with its magnificent landscapes, the many islands of the Ria d’Etel (Groix, Houat, Hoëdic, Arz, Belle île en mer, l’île aux moines…)Every weekend and every day almost in summer, I will be able to introduce you to Breton dances in frenzied festou noz or festoou deiz (night parties or day parties in Breton). Finally, you won’t be able to leave without having tasted the specialties of the region, the pancakes and galettes of course, but also the fars and kouign amans, famous Breton cakes, and the unavoidable salted butter caramel. And to eliminate all this, a little trip to one of the many beaches around will prevail 😉
